Middle East Coatings Show 2026 is the MENA region's largest coatings exhibition, held 28 to 30 September 2026 in Dubai. It ran at the Dubai Exhibition Centre in Expo City Dubai, where Yolatech showed epoxy resins, curing agents and reactive diluents at the joint booth NA90. The show runs biennially.
The Middle East Coatings Show has run for more than 30 years and is the only trade event in MENA that covers the full coatings supply chain rather than finished paint alone. The 2026 edition was moved from its original April slot to September, a change the organiser announced in March to smooth travel and logistics for regional buyers.
Chemicals and raw materials, laboratory and packaging equipment, testing and measuring equipment, and plant and machinery share the same halls. A formulator can compare a base resin, the hardener that crosslinks it and the equipment that dispenses it without leaving the venue. A presentation programme called ChemTalks ran alongside the stands.

The stand was a joint booth run with the group's other chemical brands, so a visitor could compare our epoxy resins, hardeners and diluents against the adjacent product families without walking the hall.
Our panels carried the three groups a coatings formulator buys in sequence: epoxy resin, curing agent and reactive diluent. Every grade number was printed on the panel, so visitors could read a shortlist off the wall and photograph it instead of waiting for a datasheet.
Resins were split three ways. Basic covered bisphenol A and bisphenol F in liquid and solid form. Modified covered urethane, rubber and dimer acid grades plus DOPO flame-retardant types. Specialty covered novolac, cycloaliphatic, hydrogenated BPA and naphthalene types. Hardeners ran from polyetheramine and modified aliphatic amines through polyamide and aromatic amine to anhydride and imidazole. Diluents were separated into monofunctional, bifunctional and polyfunctional reactive types.

Coatings demand in the Gulf comes from construction, oil and gas, shipbuilding and automotive refinish, and the climate tests a film harder than most European specifications assume. High heat, sand and ultraviolet light push three requirements back to the formulation: colour and gloss retention outdoors, corrosion resistance on steel, and heat resistance for pipe and plant coatings.
Viscosity control drew the most questions. Solvent-free and high-solids systems need a reactive diluent that lowers viscosity without the odour and slow cure that older grades carry. AGE (C12-C14) at 4 to 10 mPa.s was the grade most visitors wrote down, usually against a novolac or bisphenol A base for a tank, pipe or floor coating. Our page on epoxy resin coatings sets out how resin, hardener and diluent are matched for these systems.
Hardener ratio came second. Visitors arrived with a base resin already on their bench and wanted the amine value and mixing ratio for it, which is a data question rather than a sales question. Polyetheramine D-230 and MHHPA anhydride came up in the same conversations, usually where a room-temperature cure was too slow for the application.

Samples of the grades shown at Middle East Coatings Show 2026 are available for laboratory evaluation. Each grade ships with its TDS, and the COA travels with the lot, so a formulator can check EEW, viscosity or amine value against the certificate before scale-up.
The working order is the one the panels followed: resin family first, then hardener, then diluent. Liquid bisphenol A epoxy resin and solid bisphenol A epoxy resin are the usual starting points, with solvent-cut grades where a working viscosity is needed straight from the drum. Novolac epoxy resin and DOPO modified phenolic epoxy resin cover the heat-resistant and flame-retardant ends of the range.
Send a target EEW, viscosity or amine value and we will match it against the nearest production grade rather than the nearest listed one.
